Keep your eyes open for nearby garage sales and stay updated on the op shop inventory and you never know, you just might find something great. Home décor heaven for people on a budget, these places can sometimes really surprise you with some truly unique stuff. You must rummage through the sales and look really hard in order to find what you want and like. But in the end, it all pays off. These items are most likely going to need a little love before you bring them into your home. Grab some sandpaper and polish and bring these old furniture items to life.

Decorate with Glassware

Make use of your beautiful sets of glassware and put them out on display! Normally kept hidden inside kitchen cabinets, glassware can be used as an effective decoration for your kitchen. A great D.I.Y idea is to install open shelves in the kitchen or the dining room and place cutlery on top.

Make a Tray with Old, Small Decorative Mirrors

Add a little glamour to your home by converting old, decorative mirrors to display trays. All you need for this is an old mirror, hot glue gun, beads and spray paint (optional).
